JH reported that
National Grid had begun installing the pole hardware for service to the
station but was delaying the transformer installation on the east pole until
a determination was made of the suitability of ground conditions at its base
for heavy equipment.
After JMA’s approval
and based on a unanimously approved motion made by Kent Novak and seconded
by Richard Holt, Alhambra’s June requisition #9 for $246,308 was accepted
for payment.
Based on a unanimously
approved motion made by Kent Novak and seconded by Richard Holt, Change
Order #11 that increases the Contract Sum by $9,548 to $1,842,780 was
accepted for Kent Novak’s signature.
JH reported that he
met with Angelo Ferrari of Geisser Engineering on 26 July to express the
committee’s concerns regarding Geisser’s billing procedure. Mr. Ferrari
subsequently spoke with George Geisser, president. Mr. Geisser believes
that the fees have been appropriate and consistent with the scope of the
project. It was agreed that a follow up letter should be sent to Mr.
Geisser with details supporting the committee’s concerns and that no payment
be made towards the last two Geisser invoices until the matter is resolved.
Attempts have been
made to obtain E. Osterman Propane’s schedule for installation of equipment
with no response. Possibly on vacation.
Alahmbra will
investigate the possibility of a propane regulator installation credit?
Once electrical
service is brought to the building, the temporary service to the trailer
will be disconnected, the trailer removed from the site and Northern Site
Contractors will complete the site grading and also place the generator.
Guard rail
installation has been completed by Joe Tatro.
Alhambra to generate a
guard rail credit.
Base of flag pole has
been installed by Joe Tatro. Pole to be erected 13 July by Joe Tatro and
members.
Alhambra has been
requested to quote the installation of a spot light for the flag?

Based on a unanimously

agreed that for a charge of $225, Comolli Granite deliver and set upon a
concrete foundation constructed by WCFD the 1,800 lb granite memorial
pedestal.
Kent Novak reported
that the furniture orders had been placed with Coventry Glass, Bob’s
Furniture and Ocean State Furniture. Delivery of the couch and two
recliners from Bob’s Furniture will take place on 21 or 22 July.
