Activity

We have covered all of our calls.  The new duty crew schedule has been put into play.  On the first night the crew on duty was called for a cardiac related emergency.  R-8 responded immediately and was on scene within 4 minutes followed by Unit-5 with 2 additional EMTs.  Although we are allowing an EMT-C and a EMT-B to fill the shifts, there also seems to be a couple of other personnel also staying at the station during these shifts to assist.  I have noticed the cardiac duty crew members tutoring the younger EMT-Basics while on duty.

Apparatus

The RTV is now completely outfitted with all of its gear and ready for action.  A demo stretcher is on loan to us.  This is the electric stretcher which many departments are now purchasing to eliminate back injuries to personnel.

Gear

Gear inspections are on going as planned by Safety Officer Autieri.

Personnel

Jon Moore has been appointed as the acting Fire Lieutenant.

Grants

F.E.M.A. has been reviewed and minor modifications made.  A replacement engine/pumper truck is our target.
