Another student from the previous EMT-B course has passed the state national certification and awaiting licensure. Three other members are currently enrolled in EMS training.
The Deputy and department officers are continuing to offer a variety of fire and EMS trainings on training nights. Training events are well attended. As I have requested monies in the up-coming budget for formal fire and EMS trainings, we can look back at the nursing facility incident in Richmond Hope Valley and realize the importance of such formal training. Our department has also trained on a town wide and state level with the NIMS as well as in house trainings which will prepare our department in the event we would experience such an incident.
Respectfully Submitted,
Chief Joel Pomfret
